We did it! Seven days a week swimming is here!

Did you see the news this week that SF Rec Park brought back Sunday Swim? SF Kids Swim is super excited that swimming 7 days a week is now available to families. Thanks to your support, they surveyed the community and made our top requested need happen in just six months! Read and share the official RecPark press release including a quote from us and their Instagram post celebrating the win.

With the city going into a budget shortfall, any changes are facing a relatively strong headwind. Thankfully we haven’t been shy about providing reports, offering creative solutions, and - most importantly - insisting on progress. The Recreation and Parks commission, directors, and staff have been gracious to listen to our petitions and open to finding creative solutions to make family swimming easier for the parents in the city.

So what’s next? It’s time for us to have another open Zoom meeting and strategize on our next goals for improved hours and more swim lessons. The next open meeting will be October 8th at 8pm! Send an email to [email protected] to be invited.
